Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your diary. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either.

----------------------

**This is sort of a NYC themed Hey, It’s Okay Tuesday since I was just there last week**

To not care that Kim Kardashian is engaged.

To have thought the store Dash (I went to the one in Soho) was ridiculous. I mean, $700 for a dress? No. I did like a funny t-shirt but the price tag was $60. Again. No.

To have thought it was funny that New Yorkers really do honk as much as it shows in TV and movies.

To loved being able to see where SNL is filmed. No, we couldn’t touch the set. Boo. And it’s nearly impossible to get tickets to SNL.

To have not watched Oprah’s final episode.

To think it’s cool that I’ve been to a lot of places where TV shows and movies are filmed in NYC. Now when I watch The Today Show I can be like, “I stood there.” And while watching Blue Bloods I can be like, “I walked around there.”

To have thought Bridesmaids was hilarious! Go see it, you’ll laugh, unless you are an uptight prude.

To have also thought that the cost of seeing a movie in NYC was ridiculous. $27 for two tickets. Ack! In Wyoming it’s only $16.

To be curious on what Arnold Schwartzengger’s love child looks like though I do hope he’s left alone. Poor kid.

I've missed these. Not because you haven't written, just because i've been in a wierd Blog funk. ANYWAY.....yay for you for going to New York. I might be a little jealous. It is such a fantastic place to get to visit.
I did laugh at Bridesmaids, and liked it. Though I didn't think it was the constant laugh fest and awesomeness that some say it is. But by far the BEST part of that movie is Melissa McCarthy (the heavy girl). She is brilliant.
Finally, the last Oprah...I thought it was a little boring. So, you didn't miss much.

I didn't watch Oprah either. I honestly don't care. I'm sure Kim Kardashian's marriage will last about as long as Brittany Spears'. So, I really don't care. Glad you have fun in NYC!

I love the idea of going to NYC, but I am so afraid of crowds. It seems like it could be overwhelming.

haha, he wouldn't be able to deny THAT child, one would think! And I'd totally NEVER go see a movie in the theater there. Ever.

WE paid 18 this weekend to see The Hangover II. It would have been much cheaper to just re-rent Hangover I. :)

My cousin saw this movie and she was close to her due date, but she laughed so hard during the movie that she went into labor as she was walking out of the theater. Now, THAT'S a movie I've got to see!

i didn't watch Oprah either... but I stopped watching her show when she said she didn't need God to be forgiven a couple of years ago. I'm sure her religious views changed since then, but for a while there she was scaring me.

It has got to be okay to just not care about Oprah at all.

Sounds like you had a fun trip! Is Dash a Kardasian-owned store? If so, I live 5 minutes away from the Calabasas one. I never set foot in it though!

I'm SO glad you had a great time in NY. It gets a bad rap, but it's really fun to visit there! and I go to the movies in the afternoon, when I can-- it's only $5!

As a NYer, it's soooo hard to break the "honking" habit, lol!!! It just how we roll!

I hate Oprah! There. I said it!

Good luck with the packing up/throwing out business!!!

I feel that way about New York, too. And the more you look around, the more familiar or historically important places you spot.
