3D Fiber Lash Mascara by Younique Review and Giveaway!

I am not a beauty blogger.

But I still appreciate good makeup. Sometimes I like to shock my husband by actually putting some on.

I was contacted by Holly asking if I wanted to review Younique's 3D Fiber Lash Mascara. (Younique, for those who don't know, is a company with naturally based makeup and skin care products. They also don't test on animals and have gluten-free and vegan options.) I said, sure, why not, I can put it on and confuse my husband. The 3D Fiber Lash Mascara, by the way, is supposed to make your lashes look thick, but at the same time have them look natural.

I was impressed by how it arrived.

In an awesome case.

It came with two tubes and instructions, which is a good thing, because at first I looked at the two tubes and was like, "Um, what?"

Basically you put your favorite mascara on first. Then you use the transplanting gel, followed by the natural fibers, followed by the transplanting gel again.

My eyelashes did appear to be thicker.

I was trying to look as tranquil as the model. It didn't go well. And pardon my frizzy hair. I had just washed it.

For someone who doesn't know what they are doing, this was very easy. I didn't poke my eye out. I didn't accidentally get the stuff on my cheek.

And I managed to baffle my husband.

"Something is different..." he muttered as I fluttered my thick lashes at him.

If you want your own 3D Fiber Lash Mascara, check out Holly's Younique page. For the month of April, for every 6 mascaras sold, Holly is personally donating a set to a woman who is fighting cancer, or has in the past.

Holly is also giving a lucky reader a chance to WIN their own 3D Fiber Lash Mascara.

She also e-mailed me with some further tips when using the 3d Fiber Lash Mascara:

I have a few tips for applying the 3D mascara. I always curl my lashes before applying anything to them. And I have found that I like my results better when I don't use a regular mascara with it. Though, this differs form one person to the next, some people love using is with a regular mascara. Focus application of the fibers mainly to the middle and tips. One coat is usually all I want for daily wear, but sometimes I want to go really dramatic so I do a second coat by adding more to the tips of my lashes.

(And I was not compensated for this post. I was given the 3D Fiber Lash Mascara to review. My opinions are my own.)

  1. Well, here's hoping! I want my eyelashes to be as awesome as my kids' are. How unfair that theirs are so darn awesome.

  2. I have been so curious about this stuff. There have been a zillion "parties" on my Facebook and really couldn't tell if was easy or worth it. Glad to get a review from an impartial person. It looks great on you! And I'm impressed Tom noticed something different. I get my hair cut/colored and my dry cleaners notices before my husband. :)

  3. Ok, so you use your regular mascara, then you use this stuff?

  4. You CAN use your regular mascara, but you do not have to. I personally prefer to use it without any other mascara. It's really a personal preference.
