Stay Cozy & On The Phone With PhoneZzz

My daughter and I chill easily so we're usually wrapped up in a blanket.

It can be 100 degrees outside, and many times it is since we live in Texas, yet we are still shivering inside.

So we'll be snuggled in a blanket but then we'll want to use our phone, and then our arms get cold.

Enter PhoneZzz. We got it in Forest Green, but it also comes in Navy Blue & Maroon.

It is an oversized fleece blanket with hand openings and a view port kangaroo pouch so you are able to be on the phone and remain warm.

The pouch also blocks that annoying phone light so yes, you can use it in the dark and not disturb your partner. This would be perfect for college students who want to remain on their phones while a roommate is ready for bed.

PhoneZzz is $59.99 and this oversized blanket fits most. It would be a fantastic gift for those who are always cold like we are.

Even better, you can save $10 with the code AMBER10. It is applied for each product. Meaning, if you end up purchasing two PhoneZzzs, you'll save $20.

Click here to order yours & to see a video demo if you're confused on how exactly it works. Let me know what color you get.

I was sent a PhoneZzz free of charge. My opinion is my own.

Hey, It's Okay

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

HEY, IT'S OKAY....

.....to have heard mixed reviews on A Minecraft Movie. I'll probably skip it but my kids are planning to see it, which makes sense as they both played the game. I never did so I'd be confused on some of the references and jokes I'm sure.

......to have gotten A Minecraft Movie meal at McDonald's. I got a Minecraft Hamburglar. He's cute! I got the 10 piece nuggets and it came with nether flame sauce, which had a lovely spice to it.

....to hope the graduation photos Natalie is getting turns out nice. I found a local photographer for a great deal. She's getting them done this weekend.

.....to have been impressed by the turn out of the peaceful protests held over the weekend. People gathered in a bunch of different places because most are tired of the current administration. Some people are annoyed by this and it's like, why? Let people protest. No biggie. (And no, there were not paid protestors.)

......to be excited to be checking out the Poteet Strawberry Festival this weekend. I do love strawberries!

.....to have purchased this painting from a local artist while visiting Montmarte. Isn't it beautiful? We loved the colors. I highly recommend stopping by Montmarte if you go to France. Not only is it beautiful, but you'll see many talented artists.

Marie Antoinette Never Said That Cake Thing

 "Let Them Eat Cake."

There are people who truly believe Marie Antionette actually said this. She did not. It was a lie probably made up during the French Revolution because the poor were pretty pissed at Marie and her family.

I mean.

Check out where Marie lived while others resided in squalor:

Yeah. I might have made up lies too.

Anyhow, Natalie and I got to check out Versailles while we were in France. Versailles was Marie's home with her husband Louis XVI. She was only 14 when she married him, so yikes.

I imagine Marie was in awe when she looked up at the ceilings as she arrived. I'd probably be like, you know what, this will do.

This was the church where she married her husband as a teenager. Louis was timid and shy so she was probably like, "ho hum, at least I have this pretty palace." Oh, and he was only 15.

Speaking of Louis, here's where he slept. Away from his wife, unless they were, you know, making an heir. Which they did not do for, what? Four years I think it was. He was shy. And she was, well, FOURTEEN.

I bet Marie skipped down the Hall of Mirrors. Twirled in her pretty dresses. Tried not to breathe in any pee. Because there were no toilets so people did pee in corners and such.

Where did Marie sleep? Here. I believe she gave birth here. She did end up having 4 kids. 2 girls and 2 boys. She had the daughter first and everyone was like, WHAT? We need a BOY! Marie loved her daughter though and her second kid was a boy so she was able to shut everyone up. Oh, and see that door in the wall? It's what she used to escape the French Revolution mob. (She was still caught though. But good effort, Marie.)

I wonder if she gossiped on this couch? Probably. I want a couch like this. It would look SO out of place with all our drabby furniture, but I do not care.

Oh, and if you have no clue with Marie Antoinette is, this is her with her kids. She did have 4, but one sadly died, hence the empty cradle. It was a girl who came early. (And sadly, one of the boys passed away when he was 7.)

The outside is just as pretty as the inside:

When we went, it was foggy and overcast. But imagine how it must look in the Spring with all the flowers. I bet it is simply glorious. I'd want to walk through the gardens and just read a book, breathing in the flowers.

Obviously most know that Marie and her husband were beheaded. The people had enough of kings and queens living in splendor. I do not blame them. I do not agree with chopping off their heads, but getting rid of the monarchy? Yes.

By the way, Natalie bought this purse in the gift shop. We love a good museum gift shop:

Curious on what happened to Marie's remaining kids after their parents were put to death? The son died in jail. He was only 10. The daughter survived! She didn't live the easiest life. She was married to someone she did not love. Most of her life was lived in exile. But she made it to 72. I'm sure she had all sorts of stories of her childhood.

I highly recommend visiting Versailles. In the Spring, if you can. There were no flowers out when we went since it was still chilly.

You can even stay in a hotel on the grounds of Versailles. This is a goal for Natalie and I. Can you imagine?
